Kitchen Porter (KP) Part-Time

Main Duties, Requirements & Key Points:

• General potwash - for example washing dirty dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, cutting boards (most of the hard work is done by a dishwashing machine);
• Cleaning & Sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, grills and sinks;
• Removing kitchen waste from waste containers and disposing of them properly;
• Receiving deliveries and organising them in the kitchen and/or storage areas;
• Supporting the Chef in basic food preparation like cutting ingredients, peeling and washing food items;
• Providing assistance to Prep Cooks and other kitchen staff, as needed;
• Cleanliness, time-keeping and a willingless to work and learn;
• GOOD RATES OF PAY AND share of gratuities for shifts worked.

Chef de Partie Part-Time and FULL-TIME

Main Duties, Requirements & Key Points:

• General preparation and cooking of food items on specific stations as required (starters, mains or desserts);
• Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods;
• Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment;
• Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes;
• Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift;
• Cleanliness, time-keeping and a willingless to work and learn;
• GOOD RATES OF PAY AND share of gratuities for shifts worked.

Coming from Portsmouth follow the A27 signpost to Chichester and Brighton. Continue along the A27. At the fourth roundabout (Bognor Road B2144) take the fourth exit signpost to Pagham into Vinnetrow Road. The Walnut Tree is about 1 mile on the left.
